The Connect to Your Future Alumni Mentor Directory gives you direct access to more than 600 PCOM alumni who have volunteered to support students just like you. Search by location, degree, specialty, and other filters to find the mentor who best fits your goals. Recent graduates are also welcome to use the directory to continue building their professional network.
First-year students gain access in late October and will receive an email notification when their account is ready.

Mentoring has the importance of showing various perspectives to students in the field of medicine. Every physician has a special path that has led them to their specialties, and I would like to be a part of that awareness.
I’m an anesthesiologist currently working non-clinically for a public health plan in Los Angeles. I have been fortunate to have had a long and varied career in settings such as academics, a county hospital, medical education, in pharma, and on the payor side. I enjoy helping students through active mentorship and paying it forward to the next generation of physicians. I especially enjoy helping the amazing DO students I have met who continue to impact the world around them.
I enjoy mentoring students because it’s an opportunity to pay forward the guidance I received in my own career. Supporting students as they build confidence, explore career paths, and navigate early professional decisions is incredibly rewarding. Mentorship allows me to share practical insights while helping the next generation grow and succeed.
I mentor because I’m passionate about supporting the next generation in developing the skills and confidence needed to make a meaningful impact on students, families, and school communities. By sharing my experience, I hope to guide them through both the challenges and rewards of the profession while helping them grow into thoughtful, effective practitioners.
As the Office of Institutional Advancement’s (IA) Student Liaison, Finny helps students connect with our network of 20,000+ alumni and tap into resources provided by IA, such as mentors, club speakers, travel funding, scholarships, club funding, and more. Whenever students see Finny, they know that an event or resource is being brought to them by IA.
